The fabulous small business owner of Children Matter Therapy 4 Kids!
After 26 years of providing occupational therapy services for other organizations and/ or companies, April has now been servicing children and families in a private practice since 2019. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the children and families of her community and looks forward to building a long-lasting relationship with your family.

​April received her B.A. in Occupational Therapy in 1997 from “Towson State” now known as Towson University. She has worked in various settings with a wide range of diagnoses and ages April is also a former MD-licensed but retired hairdresser and is able to help create an individual haircut experience for children with sensory aversions. April believes a strong partnership between parents and therapists is the only way to help our children reach their highest potential. Her goal for your child/ children is nothing less than greatness!!!

MaryEllen Davis
MaryEllen (Minnie) Davis graduated from Slippery Rock University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2020. Since then, she has worked in pediatrics in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, home, and inpatient rehabilitation with a wide range of patient diagnoses and ages from birth to adulthood. She has experience in adaptive sports/physical activity and a passion for incorporating equine movement into her clinical practice.
She is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International registered instructor. She has completed training through the American Hippotherapy Association and is an American Physical Therapy Association Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and hiking with her husband and 3 dogs.

Emily Braman
Emily Braman is an occupational therapist who has been working in pediatrics since she completed graduate school in 2010. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park for her undergraduate studies and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill for her masters in occupational therapy. She has worked with children with a variety of medical conditions in both private practice and outpatient hospital settings. She enjoys using a family-oriented, collaborative approach.
Emily worked for three years at Duke University Medical Center primarily seeing children in their outpatient clinic, as well as running the cerebral palsy clinic and brachial plexus clinic in collaboration with the neurologist. She has worked at New Beginning Pediatric Rehab for nine years seeing children from newborns to 18 years old with developmental delays, neurological and orthopedic deficits, Autism, visual motor challenges, feeding disorders, and other various medical conditions. Most recently, she completed her hippotherapy certification training in January of 2023. Since she has had a lifetime love of horses, she is excited to incorporate hippotherapy into her occupational therapy practice.

Emma Oliver
Emma has been an OT for two years and currently works full-time in an inpatient psychiatric setting with children and adolescents.
She received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College in upstate New York. Emma has a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential through the use of meaningful play and for assisting children with a variety of diagnoses to become more independent. Serving those with mental health difficulties is another passion of Emma’s. She is excited about the opportunity to use her skills to deliver occupational therapy services to the surrounding community.

Meet Mo, a versatile professional passionate about digital marketing, graphic design, and virtual assistance. As a dedicated member of Children Matter - Therapy 4 Kids, Mo enhances the organization's online presence and brand image.

With expertise in digital marketing, Mo crafts compelling campaigns that resonate with the target audience. His creative skills as a graphic designer bring visually captivating content, effectively communicating the organization's message across platforms.

In his role as a virtual assistant, Mo demonstrates strong organizational skills and proactive support, streamlining operations and delivering top-notch administrative assistance.

Mo's multifaceted skills and dedication make him an invaluable asset, driving Children Matter's mission to provide exceptional care and support to children in need.

Dr. Jesse Logan
Dr. Jesse Logan believes there is no better approach to therapy than having clients and horses work together! He is a lifelong horse-lover. When he was 12, he and his father rescued a quarter horse together. He says, “one of the best gifts my father gave me is my love for horses.”
Logan is licensed in the State of Maryland as a Clinical Professional Counselor and a Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. He has a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and a MS in Pastoral Counseling. Jesse has been working as a therapist for 30 years and has been practicing equine assisted psychotherapy since 2021. He is married to Betty and they have two sons and three grandchildren.
